The Forty Somethings are back after racing in 2019 and finishing in 3rd place.

Mark started off racing dinghy’s in his early teens along with rowing for his school. At the same time he competed in the sport of 3 day eventing at international level which eventually took priority.

After retiring from eventing in his mid twenties he decided he needed another challenge and that was to participate in short handed offshore sailing. Having completed numerous 2 handed events including the Fastnet the 3 Peaks was next on the bucket list, all be it with a crew.

Previously completed 2019 edition of 3PYR with the Forty Somethings team on Jamira. Experienced in inland and offshore sailing including having spent many seasons racing Dart18 catamarans across the UK and Europe and yachting off the south coast.

More recently Chris has enjoyed competing in triathlons, including Lanzarote and Wales Ironman events, and is looking forward to trying to improve on the 2019 3PYR run times. Loves spending time in the mountains, including climbing Mont Blanc and Mount Kilimanjaro as well as completing the national 3 Peaks 24 hour challenge.
