52 years of life with a little bit of sailing and running in between. But, as you can see, from the Crew Profiles below the real challenge for me will be to keep ruthless discipline and order within the team. After competing in the 2007 event time must have diminished my senses as all I can remember are the good times. How hard can it be?

Matt Glossop - Runner/Crew

Occupation: Director

Age: 56

Gender: Male

Nationality: British

After a grueling run ashore in the Lake District as a sailor/runner in the 2007 event Matt is thrilled to be the “designated driver” until (Fort William) for this year’s race. Since 2007 he has done three Scottish Islands Peak races and terrified himself on the AZAB in 2015.

Lucas Shotts - Runner/Crew

Occupation: Director

Age: 51

Gender: Male

Nationality: British

I am fat, old and bald, but my hinges stand proud so that you lot can be part of my crowd. God save the Queen!

Matthew Jones - Runner/Crew

Occupation: Director

Age: 51

Last sailed in a dinghy on holiday so nice to have one discipline tucked away. On the running front however, slightly less qualified … but Dicky has promised me a “backie”. And when it comes to competing … it will be interesting to be in the team I usually compete against

Rory Reed - Runner/Crew

Occupation: Retired

Age: 60

Gender: Male

Nationality: British

Absolutely no idea at all!

We are an aged and decrepit crew who are made up of a group of friends who belong to a drinking club with a running and sailing problem.  Our goal to to finish with a smile on our faces and whisky in our hands and about 30 minutes before the cut off.  We are a very old, slow 36 ft, 1.8m draught Halburg Rassey called Salvinia.

Team Comment; The Fat(ter) Boys are delighted to be returning after the epic experience in 2007 - ....... (more to come)
