Mark started off racing dinghy’s in his early teens along with rowing for his school. At the same time he competed in the sport of 3 day eventing at international level which eventually took priority.

After retiring from eventing in his mid twenties he decided he needed another challenge and that was to participate in short handed offshore sailing. Having completed numerous 2 handed events including the Fastnet the 3 peaks was next on the bucket list, all be it with a crew.
