RYA Coastal Skipper, International Certificate, 30 years skippering own boats. Have sailed multihulls on the Irish Sea for over thirty years. I know the Swellies quite well but only at slack water! Have not been into any of the race ports but will do my homework with Keith Mander's excellent Advice Manual. With my nephew, John Donnelly, have entered the Scottish Islands Peaks Race five times and finished twice. Our retirements were due to no wind once and runner exhaustion twice. Wandering Glider is new to us because my previous trimaran was smashed up in Holyhead Marina by storm Emma last February.
