Dinghy racing a long time ago (420/470/Fireball/ 49er) and more recently coastal and offshore keelboat racing in both one design and IRC classes. Steve competes at local club events and at national and international regattas such as Cowes Week & Cork Week.

Plenty of one-design racing under the belt. John has been taking Malcolm to race yachts "somewhere nice" all his adult life. Championship, class wins and podium finishes in Irish, UK and French IRC Nationals, Commodores Cup, Caribbean 600, Round Ireland, and recent fun on the Rolex Giraglia and 151 Miglia. He is looking forward to the “de-brief” in Fort William!

Started off as sloth Dad 8 years ago, and after being presented with a bike for Christmas, decided it was time to get off my butt and do something! Since then, I have progressed from easy novice trails locally to the challenging Four Peaks Mountain Bike Race through the Alps. My love of cycling led me to adventure racing, which in turn fostered a great enjoyment of trail running. I have since entered many trail running events from IMRA 10km races to half marathons, none of which, will compare to the monumental challenge ahead of me in The 3 Peaks Yacht Race!
