ABF The Soldiers Charity - Three Peaks Yacht Race 2016

British Army Majors Russ Archer (Army Air Corps), Charles Bairsto (Royal Gurkha Rifles),

Tom Bright (Royal Artillery) and Ivan Rowlatt (The Parachute Regiment), will be entering

their 26ft Wharram Tiki into this year’s race. All four members of the team will complete

two ascents (all four completing Ben Nevis) and share the sailing duties equally.

Charlie and Tom brought the boat (‘Skinny Dipper’) in a state of neglect

and much of our spare time to date has gone into making her seaworthy.

She has now undergone a number of sea trials and despite some

discomfort, has more than proved herself sea and race worthy.

She will be the smallest boat in the race and the only multihull.

ABF The Soldiers Charity supports serving soldiers, veterans and their immediate families in times
