Silver Surfers
A combination of SolutionsPT employees and Helsby running club Silver Surfers are five likeminded individuals who have got together to help celebrate the Silver Jubilee of SolutionsPT and have fun at the same time by entering the Three Peaks yacht challenge. Our goal is to raise money for our favourite charities through sponsorship and to do so by completing the race in the allowed time. The silver also refers to the fact that we stand a chance of winning the highest aggregate age trophy.
Trevor (our skipper) describes himself as a “lucky” sailor and reluctant runner, his love of the sea is second to none.
John has had 25 years cruising experience including many nights and long passages, he is coastal skipper qualified, he has raced dinghies and has experience of the North wales and Scotland coastline.
Richard has 30 years of mostly dinghy sailing, including national championships, most recently in Fireballs. His yacht experience includes various Channel Island crossings and racing in the Solent.
Jackie has run ten marathons and numerous mountain marathons (LAMM, RAB,SLMM) and all the Munros - she is looking for the next challenge.
Phil is relatively new to mountain running, however in the last five years he has competed in numerous fell races including classics such as the Borrowdale and the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
