Based in Conwy North Wales, Mistral of St Helier, is a MCA coded and ISAF Cat 2 equipped yacht with full instruments, AIS, North Kevlar sails and Carbon Oars. She has a 3PYR pedigree having competed three four times gaining 7th, 8th, 9th and 15th out of fleets of over 30 boats. In 2008 it became the 9th fastest mono-hull in the 3PYR history completing the race in 3 days 2 hours 22 minutes. In 2011 racing as Adidas Terrex she beat the other two Sigma 38’s. In 2012, racing as “We Love MCR” she won 6 Trophies including the Fastest boat-  First Leg Barmouth to Caernarfon.
Charter is offered complete with full set racing sails, all charts and pilot books.
Sigma 38’s are offshore one design racers and require experienced sailors.

Looking to find a new challenge for myself in the summer and this 3 Peaks yacht race sounds perfect.

My background is that I prodominantly participate in adventure races single day and multi day events and fell running races including off road ultra marathons in the UK., the sticking point for me is that I dont know of anyone who owns a yacht?

Could you advsie if you have any teams looking for runners to compete in this race? Or could you please keep my details to pass onto a team if any become available in the future that are looking for runners? Or is there anywhere else where I could advertise my interest in this race to get in touch with a sailing team apart from the Sleepmonsters forum.

LOOKING FOR CREW
 

 

I'm interested in doing the race. But am missing a few things. Namely a crew and some runners.

The one thing I do have is a Jeanneau 35 jaque farroux design cruiser/racer. Near enough kitted to cat 3 (liferaft needs a service). Old sails but has a spinnaker in snuffer etc. was previously an MCA coded charter boat. I have racing experience but no one to go with. Not the cash to put up front to enter.


If a group fancy doing it I'm up for it.
