The Three Peaks Yacht Race
It’s 05.25 on a bright Caernarfon morning; twelve boats have arrived and their runners are on the mountain.
GFT Adventure runners have given an estimated time of 3 hours 40 so they are expected back just after 6 a.m. Anxious back up teams visiting the marshalls’ caravan to check on the progress of their yachts were surprised to see that the Dockers, who arrived at Caernarfon pier at 03.39 looked to be off Aberdaron. Their Tracker is obviously not working at present.
The tide has now turned and the two boats in the straits, Maracuja and Sigi Mae are making slow but steady progress up to the pier.
