This is White Cloud’s third race with the same sailing team of John, Nick and Richard hoping to emulate her 2008 sailing performance and Ali avoiding the speeding tickets in the backup van.  While John sailed with Geoff West and Gary last year to learn tips on winning the race, the crew decided to race the boat round the Isle of Wight instead but have since had withdrawal symptoms for the Three Peaks.
Running this year are Eddie Winslow and Stuart Pitches from IlkleyHarriers.  Both are ultra runners who have recently completed Bob Graham Rounds in less than 24 hours.
John and Eddie and 2 passage crew sailed the boat from Gosport to Barmouth on Sunday 6th June non-stop.  380 miles in 59 hours.  Eddie was introduced to the boat learning sailing skills and helming her for the last hours of the passage.
